Feed: Garden gate with waterproof contact sensor

 

I installed an IP65 waterproof contact sensor on my garden gate to track when it opens and closes.

It looks like a regular 2x AAA battery powered Zigbee contact sensor but with some extra protection for better resistance against water.

Now I can track when (uninvited) people come and go in my garden, if the trash bin roll-container is put at the street or if the gate is still open.
