Home automation ideas with a contact sensor
With just a basic sensor, you can already make many different kinds of automations. I automate so many things, but sometimes you see automations that are simple but that you wouldn’t have thought of yourself. For example, with only a contact sensor, you can create the next automations to detect:
- If the door/window is open/closed (obvious)
- If mail is delivered
- If the dishwasher is emptied
- If the refrigerator is not completely closed
- If you emptied the drawer
These are just a few examples.
